Prattle Launches Equities Analytics Platform for Investment Professionals
Algorithmic platform automates traditional equity analysis, delivers quantitative corporate intelligence data

BOSTON, Mass. (September 18, 2017) – Prattle, the leading provider of sentiment data solutions for asset managers, research analysts and other finance professionals, announces the launch of its Equities Analytics product. The new platform delivers real-time, quantitative analysis of corporate earnings calls from nearly 3,000 publicly traded companies in the U.S. through an intuitive user dashboard, automated earnings call reports or an integrated API.

“Our central bank analytics distill the meaning of the nuanced, market-moving language from central banks into quantitative sentiment data. Applying this method to similar language from corporations is the natural next step in Prattle’s evolution,” said Evan Schnidman, CEO of Prattle. “Analysts and market participants are moving from traditional, opinion-based decision making to quantitative or quantamental analysis. Our technology empowers users to efficiently and cost-effectively run quantitative models or conduct fundamental research that results in optimal investment decisions.”

Going beyond traditional sentiment analysis, Prattle’s industry-leading technology algorithmically generates comprehensive, unbiased, quantitative data that allows asset managers and investment analysts to predict the market impact of central bank and corporate communications. Prattle’s new Equities Analytics platform uses a combination of natural language processing, sentiment analysis and machine learning to create a unique lexicon for each company, then uses that information to quantify the market impact of an earnings call based on the historical relationship between the company’s language and corresponding market activity.

“Analysts are inundated with potentially useful information to inform their investment strategies, but they lack the time to sift through that information and remain informed about more than a handful of companies,” said Ken Meyer, CRO of Prattle. “Our platform empowers analysts to identify market trends and analyze individual companies with a level of precision no other technology provides.”

This product launch follows Prattle’s recent announcements of partnerships with Nasdaq and FactSet, the former as a data provider on the Nasdaq Analytics Hub. In January, Prattle announced a successful and oversubscribed seed round of financing, raising $3.3 million. The round was led by GCM Grosvenor with participation from New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Correlation Ventures, Plug and Play Ventures as well as a number of leading Silicon Valley and Wall Street angel investors.
