The Most Important Central Bank Releases This Weekcentral bank communications analytics research

After last week’s wave of Fed chatter, the ECB is the bank to watch this week. In addition to releasing the minutes of the April meeting, five policymakers, including Mario Draghi, are scheduled to speak. These communications are likely to be more hawkish than recent ECB trend. The RBA will also release a set of meeting minutes this week that is likely to be the most hawkish in over a year.

The Scandinavian countries will likely sound more neutral as Norges Bank governor Oystein Olsen maintains a neutral posture and Riksbank Governor Stefan Ingves speaks for the first time since the surprise dovish move to extend asset purchases.
